Upgrades to Roller Hearth Kiln Bricks

Extreme Capacity Hydraulic Lift Tables

MLT Series heavy-duty hydraulic lift tables from Presto ECOA (Norton, Massachusetts) are de- signed to handle extreme high capacity loads of up to 120,000 lbs. (96,000 lbs. end/side capacity). Over 45 diff erent models are available with lifting heights from 52-92 in. Each can be outfi tted with a range of standard platforms from 4 x 6 ft. up to 10 x 22 ft. with larger/custom sizes available, allowing them to be confi gured to suit virtually any high capacity lifting requirement. Visit www.prestolifts.com for more information.

Ipsen Ceramics (Pecatonica, Illinois) recently completed the task of relining the bricks on one of their roller hearth kilns. T is re-bricking project brings the kiln’s throughput back to full operating capacity. Additionally, the kiln can now reach greater operating temperatures—up to 2,650F (1,454C). T ese improvements mean greater effi ciency and more fl exibility when processing various materials, such as thermal barrier coatings. Visit www.IpsenCeramics.com for more information.

Tape for High-Temperature Applications

T e new GPH series from 3M (St. Paul, Min- nesota) combines the extreme bonding power and convenience of 3M VHB Tapes with high temperature resistance. It can withstand oper- ating temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahr- enheit, with long-term durability in condi- tions up to 300 degrees. Users will experience excellent adhe sion to high and medium surface

energy materials, as well as coated or painted surfaces. 3M VHB Tape GPH is a permanent bonding solution that uses a durable acrylic adhesive and an acrylic foam core, maintaining strength and conformability even at extreme temperatures. Visit www.3M.com/VHB for more information.
