Volunteers invest their time, ensuring that this year’s competition is not only successful, but memorable for all parties – from organization to participant level, attend- ees and everyone in between. Volunteer positions are available in many areas – offi cials, stats and tim-


ers, media, facility, hosting, the PATCH, community events, Ceremonies, hospitality events, 50/50, medical, merchandising sales and many more. Some positions need special training, many just need volunteers with a love of curling and the excitement of special events! T e American team for these competitions will be decided at the conclusion of the 2018 USA Curling National Championships in March in Fargo, N.D. A season-long points system is in place with a culmination at the Nationals, where the fi nal points will be earned. T e Men’s and Women’s Challenge Rounds to determine spots for the 2018 Nationals are scheduled to take place in January at the Four Seasons and Capital Curling Clubs. T e 2018 World Women's Championship will take place in March in Ontario. Q
