by Samuel Zeiser, bishop of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod. Kulp found the documentary to be “a wonderful resource.”

“Many [in my congregation] had no idea just how profound the Reformation had been,” Kulp said. “I would highly recommend this experience to any community of faith that is attempting to connect Lutherans living in the 21st century with the world- changing events that occurred in the 16th century.”

A slightly modified version of the film, titled A Return to Grace, will screen Oct. 23, 25 and 30 at Marcus Theatre locations. Whereas the PBS version maintains a more neutral point of view, Return offers a deeper dive into Lutheran theology. View locations and times at luthermovie.link/return.

For further study A study package of Martin Luther: The Idea that Changed the World—including a DVD, Bible study materials, PowerPoint presentations, other extras and the rights to show the film in a church or school—is available at newluthermovie.com/study.html.
