Military Executive Transition Seminar This one-day, at-cost workshop for MOAA members (discounted for Premium and Life members) covers a range of topics includ- ing: separating from military life and culture, developing a deliberate job-search strategy, evaluating job off ers, negotiating pay and benefi ts, and achieving early wins in a new job. It also includes the opportunity to network with an experienced, retained recruiter and a panel of military offi cers now working in the public, private, and nonprofi t sectors.


Virtual Career Fairs MOAA virtual career fairs provide opportunities for all service- members and veterans and their spouses to meet prospective employers, network with others, and build a base of contacts.


Career consultation and résumé critiques Get a jump-start on the com- petition and have your résumé professionally critiqued and receive LinkedIn profi le-devel- opment assistance. While your résumé might not be what lands you your next job, a poorly constructed one could take you out of the competition. The thought process in creating the most persuasive résumé also will


assist with both your elevator pitch and interviews. MOAA’s Transition Center team provides complimentary résumé guidance and career-consulting services to Premium and Life members and their spouses.
